Tattoos Throughout History
Everybody has heard of Winston Churchill, but how many would have thought that the ‘great leaders’ mother, Jennie, had a tattoo! admittedly it was rarely seen and it was thought that it was covered up for the sake of reputation. President Teddy Roosevelt and his daughter Alice both had tattoos; however, these were concealed due to the position of the artwork. Despite such well respected people having tattoos, they were still regarded as being unacceptable in the society of the day.
